I recently watched this short documentary on typographer Jessica Hische and in it, she said:

"People that make warm and friendly stuff get hired to do warm and friendly work by those kind of clients" 

... and that pretty much perfectly sums up how I want to approach my work from now on. I just have to get over those crippling confidence issues first!
